“LCI Data for Packaging - 2008” was researched with the ultimate objective of generating a complete set of Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) data for a comprehensive set of packaging raw materials. As a result, several unique LCI data sets were generated and are presented in the study.
Also unique, is the step-by-step methodology used to generate this LCI data. The methodology is examined in great detail in the study; as a result, you will:
- understand the critical relationship between life cycle inventory (LCI) data and the life cycle analysis (LCA) process
- learn the sources of LCI data around the globe
- learn the relevance and importance of these sources to packaging
- understand the drivers, strategies, and decisions that impact published LCI data values
- see comparisons of the data provided by these sources
- gain an understanding of reasons for the differences in the data provided by these sources
- see that only a small portion of the important packaging raw materials are covered by published data
- learn how Allied Development "filled in the blanks" and completed six LCI data sets specifically for packaging raw materials
- gain access to the LCI data sets completed for this study
- use the data for comparison and for your own environmental impact analyses
